You may have heard that court proceedings in North Carolina state courts have been cancelled for the next 30 days. Here is the news release from the Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court: https://www.nccourts.gov/news/tag/press-release/chief-justice-beasley-announces-judicial-branch-response-to-covid-19-coronavirus. Please note that the cancellations do not include emergency matters, such as domestic violence hearings or emergency custody. Those matters will still proceed, but with restrictions. Information about how these proceedings will be handled is still coming out.
